PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a porous body, with which extraction of a cell-forming material is promoted and an apparatus for preferably producing the same. SOLUTION: A mixed body S of a fixed main material and the cell-forming material is immersed in water W as a solvent stored in the storage part 13 of an extraction container 12. Air is jetted from an air supply machine 56 to the water W. The water W is convected and circulated in the storage part 13 of the extraction container 12 by the jetting of air. Consequently, the contact of the water W with the cell-forming material is activated and the extraction of the cell-forming material is promoted to shorten an extraction operation time.
