PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device configured to respond to a failure of a switching element constituting an H-bridge circuit.SOLUTION: When switching elements H1, H2 of four switching elements H1, H2, L1, L2 constituting an H-bridge circuit 3 are turned on, a motor 2 is rotated in a forward direction to lock a steering lock. The switching elements H2, L1 are turned on, the motor 2 is rotated in a reverse direction to release the steering lock. When an ON-failure is detected in any of the switching elements H1, H2, L1, and L2, a switching element on the same potential side as the faulty element is ON-controlled. |
