PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guiding apparatus that can easily confirm the completion of the visual recognition action of a driver in visual recognition guidance. SOLUTION: The route guiding apparatus 1 for performing route guidance to the destination to a vehicle comprises a path guiding means 14 for setting a path to the destination, guiding the path, and guiding the path to the destination; visual recognition guidance means 14, 40 that decide whether the visual recognition behavior of the driver to the route guidance due to the route guiding means is correct or not and then carries out affirmation in a correct case, and visibly recognize and guide the driver for performing the route guidance in a wrong case. The visual recognition guidance means has visual recognition confirmation means 14, 40 that verify the completion of the visual recognition operation of a driver to the visual recognition guidance according to the establishment of given conditions, perform second visual recognition guidance to the driver after verifying the completion of the visual recognition operation by the driver, and perform third visual recognition guidance to the driver when no visual recognition operation is made.
