An invention relates to a device for a positional fixing of a tool on machine. The centering organ (1) is provided with a least two distanced supports (4, 5), bearing four criss-crossed centering projections (23). The tool support (7) is provided with two sets of centering slots (15, 16). The first set of centering slots (15) is provided with four centering slots (39) mated with the centering projections, the second set of centering slots (16) is provided with two centering slots (39a), positioned on the line, connecting the centres of both groups of the centering slots (15, 16). By this arrangement the accuracy of positioning of the tool support (7) is not influenced by tolerances between the supports (4, 5), respectively between the groups of the centering projections (15, 16).
