PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a speed change shock in the shifting operation by a driver. SOLUTION: This control method of a power train comprises: the step (S 212) of outputting, when detecting that the driver moves the shift position from D-range to N-range, a flag showing that the shift position of an automatic transmission is in "N-range" when a neutral control is under execution (YES in S202), a neutral switch flag is ON (YES in S204), and a prescribed time passes (YES in S206); and the step (S208) of temporarily waiting the processing of outputting the shift position of the automatic transmission until a prescribed time passes (NO in S206).
