PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simultaneous both-sided image forming apparatus which has good processing efficiency. SOLUTION: A simultaneous both-sided image forming printer equipped with a primary image carrying device E and a secondary image carrying device F has a primary transfer position Tr1 where a full-color image (first image) on the secondary image carrier 30 of the secondary image carrying device F is transferred to a recording medium P and a cleaning position Er where the blade (cleaning member) 35a of a secondary cleaning means (cleaning means) 35 comes into contact with the secondary image carrier 30. The distance L from the cleaning position Er to the primary transfer position Tr1 in a conveying direction (e) of the secondary image carrier 30 is made longer than the long side of a double-letter size.
