TUNNEL EXCAVATOR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel excavator for speedily and securely excavating a tunnel even when a working face of the tunnel has an arbitrary cross sectional shape to securely and sufficiently obtain construction term shortening effect and construction cost reduction effect. SOLUTION: This tunnel excavator is constituted in such a way that a first excavation means 2 for excavating a circular region which is an inner part among the working faces of the tunnel having arbitrary cross sectional shapes is composed of a disc 11 turning while being pressed and a plurality of cutter bits 10 arranged at proper positions protrudingly from its front face and a second excavation means 3 for excavating an arbitrary shape region which is a remaining part is composed of a plurality of chisels 13 capable of continuously performing hitting operation in the forward and backward directions of the tunnel for piercing into the arbitrary shape region and swing in the direction of crossing the tunnel for scraping out the pierced arbitrary shape region.
