PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a means which improves an attenuation gradient near the passband of a cascaded multiplex mode SAW filter and the amount of stop band attenuation near the passband. SOLUTION: In the surface acoustic wave filter, one or a plurality of cascaded multiplex mode surface acoustic wave filters having a plurality of IDTs and grating reflectors arranged on both sides of the IDTs are cascade-connected, and at least one single-terminal paired SAW resonator is connected in series or parallel to the cascaded multiplex mode surface acoustic wave filters. Further, a comb shaped capacitor is connected in parallel to the single-terminal paired SAW resonator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
