PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining the lattice points of representative colors for preparing corresponding relation defining data which hardly causes a tone jump in the entire color space, an image processor, an image processing method and an image processing program. SOLUTION: The method is characterized by defining an ink quantity lattice point smoothness evaluating function for evaluating the layout smoothness of ink quantity lattice points composed of color ink quantities, and a CMY (cyan, magenta and yellow) lattice point smoothness evaluating function for evaluating the layout smoothness of CMY lattice points defined by CMY color components. It separately approximately minimizes both functions, and imposing the restricting condition that readjusted ink quantity lattice points are converted to CMY color lattice points determined by the minimization according to a specified conversion expression for converting the ink quantity lattice points to the CMY lattice points, and while imposing the restriction on the ink quantity to be deposited to a printing medium as a restricting condition, readjusting the ink quantity lattice points.
