PURPOSE: A loading method is provided to simultaneously load VP(virtual path)/VC(virtual channel) connection data with respect to a plurality of network devices in case where the ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) based communication system is initialized. CONSTITUTION: A loading method comprises a step(S21) of permitting a network processor to construct a PVC table for ATM cell switching in case where an ATM based communication system is initialized, and set the initialization loading flag for each of network devices to an initial value; a step(S22 to S27) of checking the initialization loading flag for each of network devices in case where the network devices have made requests on PVC table, loading the VP/VC connection data of PVC table with respect to the network devices set to the initial value, and setting the corresponding initialization loading flag to a loading state value; and a step(S28 to S31) of returning the initialization loading flag for the loaded network device when PVC table loading for each of network devices is completed.
