PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN which allocates channels to secure the balance between the communication for the AV device or the like and the communication to be stored in a personal computer (PC) or the like. SOLUTION: The wireless LAN includes a channel allocator 14 and a transceiver 15. The channel allocator 14 defines two types of access control fields of CFP (Contention Free Period) during which channel allocation is carried out within the access control frame of the wireless LAN based on centralized control and CP (Contention Period) during which channel allocation is carried out based on distributed control, sets a parameter (CPMinDuation) for securing the minimum value of the CP, and allocates the CFP and CP according to the parameter.
