PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit protection element applicable as a delayed type fuse by restraining fusion of a fusion part due to an instantaneous inrush current flowing at the fusion part. SOLUTION: The circuit protection element, provided with a base material part 2 made of a heat-resistant insulating material with a space part 2a formed inside, a conductive film 3 with its both end parts buried in the base material part 2 and with an intermediate part arranged inside the space part 2a as the fusion part 3a, and an electrode part 4 connected to the end parts of the conductive film 3 at end faces of the base material part 2, is further provided with either a heat-radiating body such as a fin 5 radiating Joule heat generated at the fusion part 3a by an overcurrent flowing in the conductive film 3, or an inrush current restraining factor such as a conductor plate generating the overcurrent or two electrode plates constituting a capacitor bypassing the current.
