PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handy type clamping tool with a strip in which a clamping terminal can be mounted efficiently on a covered electric wire. SOLUTION: This clamping tool is provided with the main body part 3 to retain the tip part of the covered electric wire 2 in a prescribed direction, an electric wire holding part 4 installed at the main body part 3 to hold the intermediate position of the axial direction of the covered electric wire 2, a movable base 5 slidably installed at the main part 3 in the axial direction, a cutter 7 which is installed at the movable base 5 capable of approaching and separating from the covered electric wire 2 in order to cut a cover 6 of the covered electric wire 2, a terminal retaining part 9 installed at the movable base 5 to retain the clamping terminal 8 coaxially with the covered electric wire 2, and a clamp part 10 installed at the main body part 3 and to crush the clamping terminal 8 retained at the terminal retaining part 9 at the tip position of the covered electric wire 2.
