PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rotating body carrying capability along with speed increase, durability and heating efficiency in relation to an on-demand heating device having a rotating body (film) 4, a pressing member 3 for forming a press contact part N with the surface of the rotating body, and a heating board 12 including a heating element 8 and contacting the inside surface of the rotating body, and used for heating a material 1 to be heated by letting hold and carry it by the press contact part N. SOLUTION: Carrying stability of the rotating body, durability and a carrying capability improvement effect of the heating object material 1 can be provided without degrading heating efficiency or changing a heating element forming method by using only an AlN curved ceramic heater 5 having a curved shape on a heating surface and the heating element 8 on the side opposite to the heating surface. By disposing a board so as to set its curved surface length longer than the width of a nip part N and to set a contact area of a curved ceramic substrate formed on the nip upstream side with the inside surface of the rotating body larger than that on the nip downstream side, the rate of a heat quantity given to paper can be increased.
