PURPOSE: A method for reducing friction resistance is provided to reduce friction on a surface of a material by a simple process with a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A minute protrusion array is formed on a surface of a material moving in a fluid to reduce friction applied to the material. The shape of the protrusion is hemispherical, triangular, U shape or a drill shape. The protrusion height(3) is about 5 ¯ 50 micrometer, and the protrusion width(4) is about 8 ¯ 80 micrometer. The protrusion is made of a polymer comprising a teflon, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.
