PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recorder A performing recording by ejecting ink, containing a water soluble color material, moisturizer, water and a water soluble substance causing condensation polymerization reaction under a state where water is not present, to a recording medium in which choking of nozzle holes 14 in an ink jet head 1 is suppressed to the utmost by preventing evaporation of moisture of ink in the nozzle holes 14 surely. SOLUTION: When an ink jet head 1 is at a waiting position, the surface of the ink jet head 1 facing a recording sheet 41 (the surface to which the nozzle hole 14 opens) is brought into contact with an absorber 51 absorbing moisturizer.
