PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus whose cover is prevented from inadvertently moving by holding the cover at respective positions, an advance position, a retreat position and an opening completed position, when the cover exists at such positions. SOLUTION: As for the digital camera, the cover 2 turning up and down is arranged to move back and forth on a case body 1 whose upper surface is opened so that a matter to be housed is inserted. The body 1 is provided with a spring 4 entering the back-and-forth moving path of the cover 2 and pressed in a direction where it gets out of the moving path and then bent and deformed when the cover 2 is moved back and forth inside, and the cover 2 is provided with a dent 20 or a projecting piece 23 fit in the moving path entering part of the spring 4 in an opening completed state. The cover 2 is opposed to the moving path entering part of the spring 4 at the advance position and the retreat position, so that its inadvertent retreat and advance is regulated.
