PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map scrolling system capable of selecting an arbitrary target not confined to the present position and a moving course, performing a quick map scrolling operation along an arbitrarily selected line and relatively easily performing the collection of peripheral information. SOLUTION: A user can designates the selected line by performing a prescribed operational input, moves a map so that the designated line is displayed near the center in a display screen and performs the scrolling operation. The designation of the selected line is performed by maintaining the operational input for a specified time or more, or more specifically performed by designating the starting point and class of the scrolling of the line to be selected.
