For the purpose of executing image processing including granulometry in a short period of time, the present invention comprises: obtaining a pattern spectrum of a query image based on a linear structuring element by linear granulometry to define a moment of the pattern spectrum as a signature of the query image; obtaining a pattern spectrum of an image of interest based on a linear structuring element by linear granulometry to define a moment of the pattern spectrum as a signature of the image of interest; and extracting an image of interest having a signature that matches the signature of the query image.
