PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick-walled FRP pipe of a specified thickness which is constituted of so many layers of threads formed in a braiding by a braider and free from a deterioration in material properties due to the slack or meandering of the thread, and a method for manufacturing the thick-walled pipe. SOLUTION: This thick-walled FRP pipe is molded by winding the threads around a mandrel in a multi-layer braiding constitution and integrally curing the threads and a resin incorporated into the former. The multi-layer braiding constitution is formed of main winding layers and clamping layers for clamping every specified number of the main winding layers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
