PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically make an image display suitable to an on-vehicle environment in the on-vehicle environment and to automatically make an image display suitable to a non-on-vehicle environment in the non-on-vehicle environment. SOLUTION: A CPU of a device judges which of a on-vehicle installation base and an indoor installation base the device is installed on to decide whether the device is in the on-vehicle environment. When the device is in the on-vehicle environment, a map is rendered as a main image 8 in an area of 320×240 dots as a portion of a rendernig buffer 24 of 640×280 dots and displayed on a display.
