PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporter which can clearly show a scannable range to its operator and, at the same time, to which the operator can visually set a scanning range in a state where a subject is placed on a table, and to provide an X-ray CT system, a scanning range setting device, and their control methods. SOLUTION: A gantry 100 collects the X-ray projection data of a subject and a table device 200 carries the subject with respect to a cavity section 101. The table device 200 is provided with a cradle 201 that can slide with respect to the cavity section 101 in a state where the subject is placed on the cradle 201, a self-slidable table section 202, and a panel section 204 which can show the scannable range of the cradle 201 and can specify the scanning range of the cradle 201. The scannable range is calculated by means of the gantry 100 based on the positional relation among the cradle 201, table section 202, and gantry 100. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
