PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically assisted bicycle and a rental method thereof optimum to a configuration specific to the electrically assisted bicycle even when the electrically assisted bicycle is put in a rental system. SOLUTION: The electrically assisted bicycle 11 comprises a bicycle body 10 with an electric motor fitted with a bicycle identification tag 13 with individual identification information stored therein, and a battery 12 constituted to be fitted to the bicycle body 10 and fitted to the bicycle body 10. Therefore, problems that the battery must be charged when the electrically assisted bicycle is rented, and the charging number of times is limited, and a drop-off system or the like is difficult can be solved.
