PURPOSE: A muffler for a vehicle is provided to improve the handling performance and the assembling performance by filling a sound-absorbing material in a muffler can without expensive equipment and peripheral devices. CONSTITUTION: In muffler for a vehicle, a sound-absorbing material filling case(10) is made of such synthetic resin as PE(PolyEthylene) or PET(PolyEthyleneTerephthalate) and a sound-absorbing material is filled in the sound-absorbing material filling case. The sound-absorbing material is fitted into a muffler can(30) in which the sound-absorbing material is filled. The sound-absorbing material filling case comprises a body(11) and a cover(12). Vent holes(15) are bored to the sides of the body and the cover. A guide pipe body(13) is fitted into the center of the sound-absorbing material filling case.
