PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caption display system that can provide caption display corresponding in real time to dialogs in a movie or a 3D movie only for those people who need the caption display, that spoils no dramatic effects on a screen by caption useless for other audience, and that requires no wiring connection to theater facilities. SOLUTION: The system is composed of a device 2 for reproducing a caption file, an AV controller 1 for controlling the caption file reproducing device 2 and the audio/video of the entire show, a display unit 3 that is equipped with a caption signal receiving means and that is used by an audience by wearing on the head, a means 6 for transmitting caption signals to the display unit 3, a show controller 4 for controlling field equipment such as a projector and lighting equipment, and a digital audio player 5 that reproduces a voice file by being controlled by the AV controller 1 and that transmits a synchronous signal to the show controller 4.
