PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce movement time, as much as possible, in a track control of a machine having rotational degrees of freedom, while maintaining accuracy required with respect to tracking error. SOLUTION: A numerical control device that has a rotational degrees of freedom and performs control of a machine, capable of changing the attitude of a tool with respect to a work object comprises, a joint interpolation scope decision part that decides a joint interpolation range so that, based on the attitude at two points given to a tool, the attitude error of the tool between the two points is within an allowable level of the attitude error, and an interpolation part that calculates information to regulate the attitude of a tool by joint interpolation in the joint interpolation range and calculates information to control the attitude of a tool by other methods, in the other ranges.
