PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter device that can efficiently lead light to a pointer and, at the same time, can be assembled easily. SOLUTION: This meter device 1 is provided with a dial 2 having a pointer rotating area on its surface, a pointer shaft 4 passed through a pointer shaft hole 3 formed in the dial 2, and a pointer 6 the base part 5 of which is attached to the front end of the pointer shaft 4 and which rotates in the pointer rotating area. This device 1 is also provided with a pointer cap 7 which covers the base part 5 of the pointer 6, a light guide plate 9 which is positioned on the backside of the dial 2 and leads the light emitted from a light source 8 to the pointer shaft hole 3 to illuminate the pointer 6, and a light leakage preventing ring member 10 which is disposed in the peripheral margin section of the pointer shaft hole 3 to prevent the leakage of the light entering the base part 5 of the pointer 6 from the light guide plate 9.
