PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite reinforced bonded wood which shows successful workability during its manufacture and satisfactory finish after its manufacture and further, attractive appearance and high strength, and a residence using this bonded wood. SOLUTION: This composite reinforced bonded wood 1 is constituted of a laminate of woody members 2, 3, etc. and reinforcing members 4 and 4 formed of a steel with higher strength than the woody members 2, 3, etc. and another material. In other words, two or more woody members 2, 3, etc. and reinforcing members 4 and 4 are alternately laminated over each other and at least both outer parts in the lamination direction (an arrow (a) direction) are constituted of the woody members 2 and 2 of a bonded structure.
