PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust roller bearing assembly where a cage does not receive the torsional dragging load, the compression load or radial load and other fatigue such as cutting abrasion and grinding abrasion. SOLUTION: This thrust bearing assembly includes a plurality of rollers having a specific diameter d, a cage assembly supporting the rollers, and having a first radial end extended by a specific radial distance X over the rollers, and at least one thrust race member. The thrust race member includes a radial race face, a radial flange extended from the race face, and a radial lip extended from the flange. The lip is substantially in parallel with the race face, and positioned at a distance shorter than the predetermined diameter d from the race face.
