APPARATUS FOR TREATING GARBAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating garbage with which garbage can be compressed and crushed even when arranged vertically and consequently which is arranged vertically to make the agitation torque small and attain the miniaturization. SOLUTION: This vertical apparatus for treating garbage is constituted so that an agitating blade member 3 is formed by fitting a plurality of blades 2 each projecting into the outer peripheral direction to a rotary shaft 1 arranged vertically and inserted into a bottom-blind cylindrical treatment tank 4 arranged so that the axial direction is made coincident with the vertical direction. The shaft 1 being the center of the rotation of the member 3 is arranged eccentrically to the center of the tank 4 so that the tip of each of the blades 2 is made to approach the inner wall surface of the tank 4 in a certain place and the tip of each of the blades 2 is parted from the inner wall surface of the tank 4 in another place when the member 3 is rotated.
