PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device for a sheet metal part capable of performing surface division from the final shape of the sheet metal part. SOLUTION: This design support device is provided with a solid data acquisition part 22 acquiring solid data of the sheet metal part, a surface extraction part 24 extracting each surface from the solid data, a normal line extraction part 26 finding the normal direction of the extracted each surface, and an end face determination part 32 determining whether the surface is end face or not according to a relationship between the edge length and the edge length reference value of the extracted each surface and a relationship between the normal line angular difference and the normal line angular difference reference value of the surface and the adjacent surface.
