<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation resistance detection device capable of securely preventing false-operation and trouble. <P>SOLUTION: In this insulation resistance detection device 30, pulse signals are applied, through a detection resistance 2 and the series circuit of a coupling capacitor 3, to a DC power system 60 electrically insulated from a conductive member 10 by an insulation resistance R, and a voltage as an insulation resistance value detection signal representing the resistance value of the insulation resistance R appearing at a connection point p between the detection resistance 2 and the coupling capacitor 3 is amplified by an amplifying means 4 and outputted.
