METHOD FOR DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL, CONCERNED WITH GENERATING STABLE ADDRESS DISCHARGE DURING ADDRESS PERIOD

PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to compensate the loss of the sidewall charge formed on the discharge cell during the initialization period, thereby generating a stable address discharge during an address period. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes the steps of: uniformly forming sidewall charges on the discharge cells during the initialization period; subsequently supplying a scan pulse(Scan) to the scan electrode(Y) during the address period; and supplying the data pulse(data) corresponding to the scan pulses(Scan) to the address electrode(X) so as to select the discharge cell to be turned on among the discharge cells.
