PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless transmission apparatus and a wireless transmission method realizing an improvement in system throughput, the wireless transmission apparatus adopting the Hybrid-ARQ system for re-transmitting transmission data to a receiver on the basis of a re-transmission request from the receiver. SOLUTION: The transmission method at initial transmission and re-transmission of a systematic bit and a parity bit is controlled on the basis of the channel quality of the receiver, so that the transmission method whereby important packets are transmitted at the initial transmission can be used in a state of good channel quality thereby improving the system throughput.
