PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a synchronized video by compositing a real space and a virtual object only in a chroma key composition target area without depending on a position and the attitude of an image pickup means. SOLUTION: Real video imaged with a camera 101 is outputted to a chroma key compositing apparatus 106 via a work station 102 as a fused video (foreground). When it is desired to indicate the virtual object in front of the real video, virtual object video watched from the position and attitude of the camera 101 is produced on the basis of an unillustrated table wherein data of the virtual object and coordinate values to dispose the virtual object are described, and position and attitude data of the camera 101, and composited with the real image to produce fused video, and outputted to the chroma key compositing apparatus 106. On the other hand, the work station 103 produces video of the background (CG (computer graphic) video) and outputs it to the chroma key compositing apparatus 106, and the fused video and the CG video are used to perform chroma key composition.
