PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber light guide for illumination capable of increasing color reproducibility of emitted light while preventing light deterioration of an emitted body without decreasing a quantity of transmitted light. SOLUTION: The optical fiber light guide for illumination is the one made by strand-shuffling plastic optical fibers and multi-component glass optical fibers, and the strand-shuffling percentages of the plastic optical fibers and the multi-component glass optical fibers are 90 to 15% and 10 to 85%, respectively. Diameters of the plastic optical fiber strands are 250 to 300μm, and those of the multi-component glass optical fiber strands are 10 to 60μm. On the light incident end face placed to be opposed to a light source, a group of the multi-component glass optical fiber strands 14 is located at the center part, and a group of the plastic optical fiber strands 12 is arranged so as to surround it.
