ECHO CANCELING APPARATUS, ECHO CANCELING METHOD, PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo canceling apparatus in which an increase in echo and the occurrence of howling are suppressed even when the transfer function is suddenly changed. SOLUTION: A central processing apparatus includes: a transfer function estimate means for estimating an echo component sneaked from a loudspeaker to a microphone; an echo filter means for eliminating the estimated echo component; and a talker detection means 16 for detecting an uttered speech by a remote end talker, an uttered speech by a near end talker, and a double-talk, and the talker detection means 16 includes: leak integral means 21, 22 for calculating the power of a remote end talker voice signal as a received voice signal and a near end talker voice signal as a transmission voice signal to apply leak integral to the calculated power; and a detection means 25 for detecting a state of the uttered speech by the remote end talker and the near end talker on the basis of a result of the calculation stored in the leak integral means.
