PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct the conditions of starting neutral control. SOLUTION: This control device comprises a G sensor for detecting a road surface gradient, a primary pulley rotating speed sensor 410 for detecting the number of pulses at resetting the neutral control during move-back of a vehicle, and a ECU 1000 for storing a relationship between the upper limit value of a G value allowing the neutral control and the number of pulses in an initial condition and a relationship between the G value at starting the neutral control and the number of pulses at resetting the neutral control in the latest condition, calculating the number of pulses during move-back from the upper limit value in accordance with the stored relationship in the initial condition and calculating the upper limit value of the G value corresponding to an actual vehicle condition from the calculated number of the pulses during move-back in accordance with the stored relationship in the latest condition.
