PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent shock buffer material, used in a branch part and road side band of a road, showing moderate repulsion to a shock from the initial stage of occurrence, keeping constant repulsion for a long time, facilitating manufacture and having flame resistance. SOLUTION: This shock buffer material is formed of a binder of 1 to 20 mass parts to 100 mass parts of Shirasu material 100.
