PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting composite material effective in reducing the weight of its molded article and the amount of the article wasted, and to provide a molded article of the composite material, capable of having reduced weight and decreasing the amount of its waste because of being formed using the composite material. SOLUTION: The thermosetting resin composite material is obtained by impregnating a fibrous reinforcement with a resin composition containing a thermosetting resin, a polymerizable monomer, a low shrinkage agent, a hardener, an organic filler, and a thickener. The molded article of the composite material is obtained by heating, pressurizing, and molding the composite material. The use of the organic filler having lower specific gravity than an inorganic filler as a filler and the thickener leads to the reduced weight of the molded article formed using the composite material.
