PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack with an external dimension reduced to the utmost without reducing a charging capacity of the battery, which can be surely mounted to an electric device. SOLUTION: The battery pack houses secondary batteries 2 and a circuit board 3 in an external case 11 having an engaging member 5 engaging with the electric device 20 to be detachably mounted. The external case 11 is formed into a closed structure by jointing the outer peripheral edge of a pair of surface plates 1a facing each other with a side wall part 1b. The secondary cells 2 are arranged between the pair of surface plates 1a, and the circuit board 3 is arranged between the pair of surface plates 1a between the secondary cells 2 and the side wall part 1b, both in parallel with the surface plates 1a. Further, a stepped part 7, having a thickness thinner than that of a housing part 9 of the secondary cell 2, is arranged at a housing part 8 of the circuit board 3 on the surface plate 1a of the external case 11, and a locking recessed part 10 as a locking member 5 is arranged to the stepped part 7 without opening any through hole.
