PURPOSE: A device for connecting individually existing networks and a method therefor are provided to reciprocally connect individually existing networks, and to randomly set a security level while setting whether to permit a connection for a network requested by a user. CONSTITUTION: A network connection device(100) manages information on devices existing on a network, connects the devices together, and controls the desired devices. A management module(120) performs a discovery process for the devices, and collects/manages information on each device. A component module(130) generates components showing services of the devices based on the collected information on the devices. A lookup service module(140) stores information on the generated components at a lookup table, and retrieves component information on a specific device. A coupling module(150) receives an internetwork connection request message to connect a self network with the first network, sets a security level for the first network, and controls a network command message according to the set level.
