PURPOSE: An antenna apparatus is provided to change an antenna resonance frequency in accordance with a received frequency by arranging a variable capacity element on a surface of a dielectric block. CONSTITUTION: An antenna apparatus comprises a radiation electrode(19) and a variable capacity element(16) arranged on a surface of a dielectric block(18). A high frequency feeder voltage is supplied to the radiation electrode, and a DC bias voltage is supplied to the variable capacity element. The variable capacity element has a capacitance value changing in accordance with the bias voltage. The variable capacity element is electrically connected to the radiation electrode in such a manner that the capacitance value of the variable capacity element becomes an additional capacitance value for changing an antenna resonance frequency. The antenna resonance frequency changes in accordance with a received frequency by using the DC bias voltage as a control signal.
