PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule-type endoscope apparatus which can obtain images of good quality with few black solids or white drop outs. SOLUTION: This capsule-type endoscope apparatus is provided with an illumination means 4 which makes white LED (Light Emitting Diodes) 17 perform pulse-emission through an ON/OFF switching means 32 which turns on or off an electric current from a constant-current source 31 capable of varying the current. As the current volume of the constant-current source 31 can be varied by a light-emission variable means 10, a plurality of images can be picked up under different conditions; with different light-emission volumes L1 and L2 for the same period of time ta and tb.
