PURPOSE: A witness tracing service method through a wireless communication network is provided to rapidly and exactly ferret out a witness for an accident by tracing the information of mobile subscribers located in the accident place. CONSTITUTION: If a specific mobile terminal(HP1) in the sector of a BTS(Base Transceiver Subsystem)(12) makes a request for a witness location tracing service in order to secure witnesses as the mobile terminal(HP1) meets with an unexpected accident, the BTS(12) collects terminal information on a plurality mobile terminals(HP2-HP4) in the location of the accident and forwards it to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(16). The MSC(16), based on the terminal information, extracts subscriber information from a VLR or an HLR(18) and transmits it to a trace information management server(24). The trace information management server(24) transmits the collected subscriber information to a security information management server(28) as witness information. |
