PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereo receiver of a simple structure in which a degree of separation of right and left sound signals can continuously be controlled in accordance with a level of electric field intensity. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with an electric field intensity detection means 9 for detecting electric field intensity of a reception signal and a stereo demodulation circuit 5 for outputting original sound signals of right and left channels. The receiver is also provided with a blend circuit 6 for blending the original sound signals and outputting a blend sound signal of the right and left channels. The degree of blending of the original sound signals is changed in accordance with a level of electric field intensity. Thus, an S/N which is deteriorated when electric field intensity is low is improved by the simple structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
