PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and image forming apparatus in which an unnecessary image is automatically eliminated from a captured image to form an image. SOLUTION: A photographing robot takes a memorial picture of a figure with scenery for a background. At such a time, three images are consecutively picked up at predetermined time intervals. In the three images, a coincident part between two images or more is extracted and an image is synthesized. Thus, even if a third person of passer-by occasionally enters a field, the moving image of the third person is eliminated and the image photographed with only the user and the desired scenery can be obtained.
