PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience for users relating to utilization of contents while taking into account the copyright protection relating to the contents within a conventional private utilization. SOLUTION: Contents within a recording medium with a wireless ID tag (recording medium) 100 on which a wireless ID tag 101 is mounted for holding product information for specifying a product are reproduced by a reproducing apparatus with a wireless ID receiver (content data reproducing apparatus) 110. The content data reproducing apparatus reads the contents from the recording medium, receives the product information from the wireless ID tag on the other hand, and relatively stores the contents and the product information in a content storage part 116. When reproducing the stored contents, product information is received from a wireless ID tag that is present around the apparatus, the received product information is compared with the product information associated with the contents and when both the product information are matched, the contents are reproduced, thereby reproducing the contents only within a range wherein the product information can be received from the wireless ID tag.
