PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for detecting if something is wrong with electrolyzer of hydrogen/oxygen generator, wherein the apparatus detecting wear accident of electrolyzer in advance, thereby performing operations such as operation stopping of the hydrogen/oxygen generator to prevent loss due to wear accident of the electrolyzer. CONSTITUTION: In a hydrogen/oxygen generator for generating hydrogen and oxygen gases by electrolyzing water in an electrolyzer(13), thereby separating water into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas, the apparatus for detecting if something is wrong with the electrolyzer of the hydrogen/oxygen generator comprises a temperature detector(1) installed on the electrolyzer; and an alarm controller(2) for outputting a control signal when detection values of the temperature detector are the same as or greater than a preset temperature value, wherein a fire alarm wire is used as the temperature detector, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a hydrogen gas separation tank(11), an oxygen gas separation tank(12), an electrolyte cooling system, a circulation pump for the electrolyte cooling system, a power supply unit(14) for supplying a power source to the electrolyzer, a gas cooling system(18) for cooling hydrogen gas and oxygen gas generated in the tanks, a gas path(19) through which hydrogen gas and oxygen gas are sent to the outside, and manometers(20) and backfire preventers(21) installed on the gas path.
