Inhibiting gastric proton pump in a mammal is accomplished by the use of a compound of formula (1) wherein the variables have the meaning given in thepresent description. A preferred compound of formula (2) in this treatment ameliorates, diminishes, actively treats, reverses or prevents any injury, damage or lesions of gastric mucosa, e.g. gastric mucosal lesions and ulceration. |
